Porsche 928 Murf928 SuperShark Charge Pipe Retaining Bracket

$49.95

A simple solution to a very real problem.

This charge pipe retaining bracket was developed after a Porsche 928 specialist encountered a recurring issue on a customer's modified Murf928 SuperShark-equipped 928: under boost, the charge pipe could separate from the supercharger outlet.

After repeated attempts to keep the connection secure, Sirius Fabrication was asked to design a positive mechanical retention solution.

The result is this purpose-built bracket.

Rather than relying solely on the charge pipe connection and clamps to resist the forces generated under boost, the bracket provides a physical stop above the pipe, preventing it from moving far enough to disengage from the supercharger outlet.

Designed specifically around the Murf928 SuperShark installation, the bracket mounts using existing attachment points and requires no modification to the charge pipe. Its low-profile design integrates cleanly into the engine bay without looking like an improvised add-on.

Features

  • Designed for Murf928 SuperShark-equipped Porsche 928s

  • Provides positive mechanical retention of the supercharger charge pipe

  • Helps prevent charge pipe separation under boost

  • Uses existing mounting locations

  • No modification to the charge pipe required

  • Broad contact surface distributes the retaining load

  • Low-profile, purpose-built design

  • Sirius Fabrication original design

Why We Made It

Like many Sirius Fabrication parts, this bracket exists because there was a real 928 that needed a solution.

A Porsche 928 specialist was carrying out extensive work on a customer's SuperShark-equipped car, including upgraded cams, headers and ECU tuning. As the car was developed and tested, the charge pipe repeatedly separated from the supercharger under boost.

He asked us if we could design something to mechanically retain the pipe.

So we did.

The result is a small component with one very specific job: keep the charge pipe where it belongs when the boost arrives.

This product is an independently designed Sirius Fabrication component intended for use with compatible Murf928 SuperShark installations. Sirius Fabrication is not affiliated with or endorsed by Murf928.
